It'll be interesting to see how Civ 7 is received. Their whole age transition mechanic feels pretty similar to Humankind's, which I simply never got used to, or enjoyed. It always felt immersion-breaking to switch civs part way through a game.

I stopped playing the Civ games after the fourth one which has the best mods.

The developer nowadays just milks small DLC with each new game as well. 🥛

I played both 5 and 6. I think I got the complete editions off humble bundle for less than 20 bucks.

I only played 5 for 80 hours and 6 for 52 hours. Civ 4 I would have played many hundreds of hours but it looks like I didn't play it on Steam.

So yeah, I would say the quality is definately declining. 4 is still the best by a mile.

Not a single game on that list that really interests me. I think I'm actually thankful for that though. I already have far too many games in the queue.
