Witcher 3 - Rumor: DLC in 2026

In think some people of Fool's Theory are former CDPR employees.

I like the idea of maybe making this DLC be a sort of connective-tissue to W4. Could be interesting.
At this settles my idea of attempting a replay of the whole thing, since I never got to finish Blood and Wine.
But then again, it'll have to be a less-than-completionist run, since otherwise I'll just gas out before I get to B&W and/or the next expansion.

Sounds like a silly idea to me. I would rather they just add additional prologue content into W4. W3 was done many many years. Only the most hardcore fans would reinstall at this point.

I have no idea if this is something they're actually entertaining, but it reminds me of what Gearbox did with Borderlands 2 when Borderlands 3 was imminent. I did end up replaying B2 and playing through the new DLC, but I doubt I'd play The Witcher 3 again. Maybe if they made the new bit something you could jump right into (I no longer have any of my old save games)

IIRC, you can start both DLCs in a fresh new game without playing the base game. You'll be pre-leveled for it so you can pick right up and go. I recommend that if you're feeling some hesitation about burning out.
