RPG Site reports that the mobile game Wizardry Variants Daphne will get a Steam release:

Wizardry Variants Daphne PC Steam version to support landscape mode, controller support, and account linking

Wizardry Variants Daphne from developer Studio 2Pro and publisher Drecom launched on iOS and Android a few months ago in October and it will be arriving on Steam soon. You can now wishlist it on Steam as well with the store page now live.

Alongside the Steam store page for Wizardry Variants Daphne going live, it has been confirmed that the PC version will support landscape mode at 1080p (support for other resolutions is unclear), controller support, and the ability to link account with the mobile release to carry over date. Wizardry Variants Daphne on Steam will also have support for Simplified and Traditional Chinese language options.

This looks like a weaker entry even by Japanese Wizardry standards :(

When are we going to get a remaster of Wiz 2&3!!! I would think Wiz 2 would be very easy considering it uses the exact same engine as Wiz 1!

Wizardry 2 being the first Expansion Pack ever made because it required Wizardry 1 at first as a shameless marketing stunt, but Wikipedia editors removed my entry because it doesn't actually say on the box specifically it's an Expansion Pack but a game. Semantics.
It shouldn't be difficult for this group in that it was smaller and not nearly as complex as the first Wizardry game. I believe Knight of Diamonds was Robert Woodhead's first project until he met Andrew Greenberg and ran the playtesting team on the much more sophisticated, Wizardry, after their Plato source code was deleted by the Oubliette team.

I’ve never heard of this one, but I’m always up for more Wizardry. Hope it lives up to the classics, though.
