I'm way more excited for Jagged Alliance 3 releasing on the 14th. I could be wrong but I think the audience for both games is largely the same. Releasing right after Jagged Alliance 3 might not help sales. I really enjoyed the first Xenonauts but when I played it there were a lot of mods available, including some big conversions. Will probably be the same this time too due to Baldur's Gate 3 and Starfield.

Xeno who? I's almost JA3 time.

I couldn't get into the first Xenonauts despite being an OG XCOM fan.

This one looks more like a v 1.2 - a graphical update with a few feature enhancements.

I'm sure there's more to it if you're more into the series.

In fact, for fans of the game, it might be exactly what they want, as most of time you don't want a v2 that's jarringly different from a v1.

But for me, as a casual observer that bought and barely played the first game, it looks like a spruced up version of that game.

I'd prefer to play X-Com 3 but that's highly unlikely after that flop Marvel Suns.
