What is the idea behind this game? It seems that its about different way to solve crimes but it also suggests that you can basically refrain from detective work. So I wonder if desc exaggerates or it has really many ways how to play it.

Maybe they've updated the page since you posted that, but it does mention Steam.

"Steam Key on Launch Day" is the first thing listed for both preorder deals.
