Patch 1.3.2 is live
We have just released patch version 1.3.2. It contains small bug fixes, which you can read about below.
Furthermore, in the last episode of Behind the Pixels, we specifically addressed your questions and answered them (video is in German, but with English subtitles).
Perhaps we answered a question there that might interest you? Or you may have your own questions. Write them in the comments and we will answer them in a future video.
What do we do now after Drova? What's next? We'll answer that in the next update video, which will come next week.

Drova - Forsaken Kin - A hidden Gem
PC Gamer thinks Drova - Forsaken Kin is a hidden gem:
This Gothic-inspired RPG indie is shaping up to be my favourite hidden gem of 2024
Drova is a handcrafted pixel art RPG with more freedom than most of this year's big blockbuster RPGs.
I know I'm not alone in feeling a bit adrift post-Baldur’s Gate 3. No RPG since has offered the rewarding exploration of Larian’s modern classic, nor the satisfaction of developing a character from mangy loser into unstoppable powerhouse. So I approached Drova with unfair scepticism. This modest looking pixel art RPG released last month and has flown under the mainstream radar, though it's already amassed a strong cult following and a very busy subreddit. I’m not saying it’s the next Baldur’s Gate 3—far from it—but it rewards exploration and novel approaches to problem solving, which is more than can be said for any blockbuster RPG I've played this year.

RPGamer checked out Drova - Forsaken Kin:
Drova: Forsaken Kin Deep Look
The land of Drova is a realm of broken promises, lost hope, and squandered potential, which makes for an interesting place to traverse.
I shall be honest here. The Switch version of Drova: Forsaken Kin did little to impress me in its pre-release beta build.
To the contrary, there were graphical stuttering issues, unreadable signposts, counterintuitive control setups that had me canceling out of textboxes or disarming myself more often than not, and half a dozen crashes at the entrance to the woodcutters’ camp. Most notable was the incident where all of space and time outside of the Remnants’ encampment was lost to a bright pink liminal space with random, nonsensical elements of scenery, a Twilight-Zone-esque digital limbo that soon removed all NPCs (but not their gear) from existence and leaving just one enemy in a far-off corner for me to find and then die to. Following that demise, the auto-save left me stuck in a fixed position in a nearby encampment, unable to use thirteen of the game’s fourteen mapped button choices (the skill-swap button; completely useless). I was stuck that way, my character file effectively bricked, for three whole real-life days until the release date arrived with a first-day maintenance patch that freed my dude from the living limbo simulation.

Drova - Forsaken Kin - Review
The Gamer Social Club reviewed Drova - Forsaken Kin:
Drova – Forsaken Kin: Review
Drova – Forsaken Kin, an indie CRPG, offers a rich, choice-driven narrative in a beautifully designed Norse-inspired world.
If you asked me to describe Drova – Forsaken Kin with one word it would be “deep”, since it aptly describes many elements of the game. As the maiden title from Just2D, a six person indie studio out of Germany, it is astonishing how much there is to do and see in its beautiful, Norse inspired world. After an engrossing 30 plus hour playthrough, with a story shaped by my choices and finishing with one of multiple endings, I am left to wonder what other stories are yet to be told, secrets to be found, and consequences to be faced. I think it is safe to say that Drova – Forsaken Kin has a great deal to offer, and nearly all of it is absolutely brilliant!
[...]
Final Thoughts
Drova – Forsaken Kin is a fully realised, living world where you shape who you are as well as the world around you, a story that you can write again and again based on your decisions. The few flaws and bugs the game has are far outweighed by the cohesive nature of the game’s world and it’s mechanics. If you are a fan of cRPGs and similar games you must pick up Drova – Forsaken Kin.Score: 8.5/10

Drova – Forsaken Kin – PC Preview
Drova – Forsaken Kin is an upcoming single-player, action-RPG adventure from game developers Just2d. It’s a souls-like action game with mysticism and grim undertones from Celtic mythology. Drova was first teased three years ago and is still being developed. It is set to be released sometime this year on PC. We were invited to take a close look at the game before release. Naturally, I jumped at the chance to go on a deep dive into the lands of Drova.
A Pixel RPG Game With Tonnes Of Soul
Do you like a challenge and love the souls-like genre? Is it not easy for you to buckle under the relentless weight of all the attacks thrown at you?? Following getting a good beating while playing Dark Souls & Elden Ring I’ve decided it’s not the genre for me. Let me know what your favourite game in this genre is in the comments below![A campfire is centre in a pixelated top down scene with three characters surrounding it
If I knew we were camping I’d have brought more ghost stories!]
Gameplay
When getting started with the game you are welcomed with a basic character creator. Here you can customise your pixelated character who you’ll be guiding through these harsh lands. I chose a grizzled look in an attempt to look as badass as possible. I keep doing this hoping that in some future game AI enemies will start paying attention to my unhinged appearance and keep their distance. You are given the option to adorn yourself with a buff to make the game easier in some aspects. I chose a ring that granted more HP as this will be helpful when HP is taken ruthlessly with games like this.[...]
