Eisenwald: Blood of November - Surveys are out!

by Hiddenx, 10:04

Here's the Kickstarter update #10 for Eisenwald: Blood of November:

Surveys are out!

We sent out the surveys today and we plan to start sending out physical rewards next week as well as Legends of Eisenwald keys.

Please note, we don't have yet the GOG agreement to sell Eisenwald: Blood of November. We hope it will happen soon but at this point we still can't promise it since it doesn't depend solely on us. But in any case we will be able to provide DRM-free version.

Also, Season Pass is available only on Steam, GOG doesn't have this product. If you prefer GOG/DRM-free, please message us separately. We will provide you individual keys for Road to Iron Forest. And we would have to do the same when one more Legends of Eisenwald DLC is out.

The testing is going well, and soon we will have a page on Steam. Release is planned for the end of October and we are on track so far. English localization is almost done, German is the next.

Eisenwald: Blood of November - Funded!

by Hiddenx, 08:12

The Kickstarter campaign for Eisenwald: Blood of November reached the funding goal with 11 hours to go:

We are funded! Thank you!

When I was posting our last update I had no idea that we would get to the goal so fast! We were pretty confident that our campaign would get funded but we thought it would more like a last minute thing. But we are so happy it's not the case! Thank you so much, we are so grateful to you all!

I am not sure we will be able to fall asleep soon (past midnight here) but tomorrow we will continue working on this game with much joy and enthusiasm and this is known to boost development times several hundred percent!

Thank you, your support means a world to us!

Eisenwald: Blood of November - Quest System

by Hiddenx, 09:59

Learn more about the sandbox quest system of Eisenwald: Blood of November in Kickstarter update #6:

Quest system in Blood of November

Legends of Eisenwald featured a heavily story driven gameplay. The main campaign, the Masquerade, Road to Iron Forest - these are all examples of a story driven approach.

In Blood of November we want to try something else. Sandbox gameplay cannot rely too much on the story. Having just a scenario completely without a story though is not very fun either - Cursed Castle is a good example of that.

In Blood of November the map will be filled with things to do sometimes seemingly unrelated to each other. Due to new handling of the quests majority of player's actions will gradually influence the outcome and make subsequent quests either available or unavailable. The influence will not be immediately seen and we believe that only towards the mid or late game a player will understand what road he/she took. Given the fact that there will be some random quests too, the gameplay each time will differ to a certain degree.

An underlying framework story in Blood of November will have a surprise for you, we would love to say more but even a little detail can become a big spoiler, so please have patience until you start playing.

We are already testing this new game and maybe more things will be added or adjusted. We think that this gameplay might be very interesting both to players who are familiar with Legends of Eisenwald and for those who are not.

We reached 67% of funding and still have 4 days to go. Please spread the word, we need more recruits to strenthen our Eisenwald army!

Eisenwald: Blood of November - Kickstarter Update

by Hiddenx, 16:14

Kickstarter update #5 for Eisenwald: Blood of November:

Blood of November localizations

In the last few days we got many questions regarding Blood of November localizations. From day 1 it will have English, German, Russian and a language you might not have heard of: Belarusian. (Steam does not even have official support of it). There might be other languages too which might be released day 1 or a little later, right now we can't tell you for sure.

On another note, today we got this email from Kickstarter:

KICKSTARTER:
I know what you're thinking. Three-hundred and fifty-two is a weird number to celebrate... but that's a LOT of people that believe in your idea.

We think you are doing a great job.

:heart: Kickstarter

While it's indeed a weird number (comments in my facebook said - not weird, it's just 2 to the power of 5 multiplied by 11), it's indeed good to celebrate it!

Thank you,

Eisenwald: Blood of November - Castles

by Hiddenx, 21:08

A new Kickstarter update for Eisenwald: Blood of November about what you can do at castles:

Castle improvements

Today we would like to tell you about a few new features that we will add into Legends of Eisenwald mechanics so this Blood of November will have a better gameplay.

We heard quite a few comments from players that castles in our game are not very functional. This was a concern for us too since only few things could be done in the castles - recruiting new troops, healing them and leaving garrisons. In this new game we decided to increase strategic value of the castles. Probably the most interesting and useful innovation would be a possibility of hiring an additional army for patrolling your lands and protecting them from enemy armies, bandits and all kinds of ragamuffins. Moreover, for gold you will be able to improve your brave soldiers!

Also, in castles you will be able to open a forge and a trade. These buildings will not only bring you additional income but will allow you to buy weapons, armor and equipment right in your castle.

That's about it for today regarding new game features. We are glad to notice that our Kickstarter campaign is moving steadily towards the goal and is already 43% of the way. That makes us very happy and grateful to you all.

Eisenwald: Blood of November - Now on Kickstarter

by Hiddenx, 10:16

A new sandbox-adventure Eisenwald: Blood of November from the makers of Legends of Eisenwald is now on Kickstarter:

Eisenwald: Blood of November

loading...

In this new story you will get to decide who is fit for the throne of the duchy of Eisenwald. The duke is dead, long live the duke. Two factions vie for the throne and you will have to choose a side, for neutrality is not an option.

We considered where we wanted to take the Eisenwald experience following on from Legends of Eisenwald and we decided that the sandbox route might suit our style of gameplay best. This will give the player an opportunity to experience the world of Eisenwald from a new angle, but still enjoy an old-school adventure in a standalone form. It’s also a great option for players scared off by the hefty 50 hours that was in Legends of Eisenwald. No prior knowledge of Eisenwald is required to get the full experience in Blood of November.

This new adventure will have many new features:

  • Random events that add a great amount of replayability;
  • Smart re-spawn - improved dynamic balance of the armies;
  • Updated look - the engine and graphics will be reworked and improved;
  • Sandbox like gameplay – freedom of movement;
  • Experimental quest system that will change according to your behavior.
