Lineage II - Gracia Part 2 Released

by Asbjoern, 23:37

NCsoft has sent out another press release; this time about the release of Gracia Part 2 for Lineage II. The update adds new content and supposedly enhances character progression:

SEATTLE, October 29, 2008 – NCsoft®, the world’s premier publisher and developer of massively multiplayer online (MMO) games, today announced the release of Gracia Part 2, the newest addition to the popular Lineage® II franchise. The expansion is free to all Lineage II subscribers. Building on systems introduced in the first Gracia expansion, this update helps players advance their characters and achieve their goals faster than ever before.

Gracia Part 2 offers a variety of new challenges to players of all levels, including the Labyrinth of the Abyss, a new section of the Kamaloka hunting area. The Labyrinth of the Abyss is a multi-tiered cavern where players in a private party battle through monsters and bosses to earn valuable rewards and experience.

This update also introduces Kratei’s Cube, where players simultaneously fight against monsters and each other for bragging rights and special items. Contests run every half hour, twenty-four hours a day. Here players work through a maze of interconnecting rooms, slaying monsters and players alike in hopes of achieving renown and glory. Kratei’s Cube is the first solo player versus player (PvP) and player versus environment (PvE) arena in Lineage II.

The popular Vitality System, which allows for faster character progression, has been enhanced with the Vitality Replenishing Herb. Taking the Vitality Replenishing Herb, which some monsters drop when defeated, will keep the player from expending their current Vitality Points. While under the influence of this powerful herb, players even regain Vitality Points for each defeat. Now players can advance their characters significantly faster than ever before.

“The Gracia series of updates add features that literally change the way Lineage II is played,” said Sam Han, producer of Lineage II for NCsoft West. “We are polishing the player experience, enhancing character development and increasing the fun factor significantly for our players. The community feedback on these changes has been overwhelming, and there is still more to come.”

Gracia Part 2 is a continuation of a three-part story about Gracia, a forbidden land where players face their innermost fears through a series of inter-dimensional and dream-like areas.

Lineage II is known as the gaming market’s premier player-versus-player (PvP) online role-playing game, with a customer reach of more than 19 million players worldwide.

The Lineage II 4th Anniversary Edition pack is now available at retail. For more information about the retail box contents and where to purchase go to: www.lineage2.com/4thanniv.html.

Lineage II - Server Merging

by Asbjoern, 16:29

NCsoft has announced that they will be merging a few of the North American servers in early July:

Since we opened server transfers in February this year, we’ve all seen a noticeable shift in what servers the Lineage II population is playing on. Many players transferred from lower population servers to higher population servers in the name of greater competition, which is in essence what Lineage II is about. This has left us with a few servers with low enough populations that the communities on those servers have expressed their concern.

After looking at the servers, we agree that some changes need to be made to help us maintain the very highest quality Lineage II experience for all of our players. As such, we will be combining a few of our North American servers in early July. With the exciting changes coming in the next Chaotic Throne installment (which we plan to launch later this summer), we believe that merging some servers now will create an even more active, competitive Lineage II community.

We aim to make this as smooth and painless a transition as possible for our players and feel this will balance and revitalize the overall server populations.

Please see the forum posting here for all the details.

Lineage 2 - Hellbound Unbounded

by Asbjoern, 19:09

NCsoft announced today that the content expansion Hellbound for Lineage II has been released:

Thursday 24th April... Brighton, England/... NCsoft® Europe (http://eu.plaync.com/eu/) today announced the release of Hellbound™, the newest addition to the Lineage® II (http://www.discoverlineage2.com) franchise, in conjunction with its Limited Collector’s Edition retail package. Continuing the storyline and content in December’s popular expansion Kamael, Hellbound increases the game’s level capacity to 85, and adds significant quests and skills. Players finally get the chance to best the diabolical boss Beleth, fighting their way through multiple towers in the Steel Citadel. Enhancements to the pet system enable players to grow their wolf pet into a mount called a Fenrir. Additionally, this update adds more transformation options, where players earn the ability to temporarily transform into a powerful alter-ego with special skills that will aid them in their ventures into Hellbound.

The Lineage II Limited Collector’s Edition provides players with a whole host of exclusive extras. Featuring the most up to date game client, the Limited Edition includes three exclusive in-game items, discount tokens for server features, a stunning 148 page ‘The Art of Lineage II’ art book, the official soundtrack CD, two exclusive A2 posters and the official Lineage II world map. To complete the pack, each set also includes a highly detailed poly-resin Kamael character figurine.

Lineage II is known as the gaming market’s premier player-versus-player (PvP) online role-playing game, with a customer reach of more than 19 million players worldwide.

“The content in our Hellbound expansion really rounds out what we started in Kamael,” said Tim Tan, NCsoft’s North American producer of Lineage II. “The expansion was very popular with our players and we’re happy to follow up with more content, so soon after its launch. Players can really sink their teeth into the Hellbound area of the game, and the raised level cap gives them a fighting chance against Beleth!”

The Lineage II Limited Collector’s Edition will be available from major retailers at a recommended retail price of £54.99 / €79.99. The standard edition box of Lineage II is available at a recommended retail price of £14.99 / €19.99 and at the PlayNC® store (http://eu.plaync.com/eu/store/). Monthly subscription fee to the game is £8.99 / €12.99. The game is rated 12+ by PEGI (http://www.pegi.info).

Lineage 2 - CE Coming to Europe

by Asbjoern, 09:15

NCsoft has announced they will release a Collector's Edition of Lineage 2 in Europe. Quote below taken from the Eurogamer MMO channel:

The limited release will see the light of day on 25th April, and cost GBP 54.99 or EUR 79.99: a mark-up over the standard edition price of GBP 14.99 / EUR 19.99.

For your extra money, you get three game account codes – 30 free days' play for yourself, 14 for a buddy and an additional 14-day trial – and 15 extra days of game time, should you want them. You also get three in-game accessories: a mask, a lollipop that turns you into a pig, and a discount token that can be redeemed for gender change. If only real life were so easy.

Then there's an art book, a soundtrack CD, two posters, an official map printed on "vintage" paper, and a hand-painted statuette limited to a run of 5500. 50 boxes also contain a Charlie-style golden ticket, granting them a rare figurine.

Lineage 2 - The Chaotic Throne review @ CVG

by Woges, 01:00

A less than impressed review of this patch for Lineage II by Kieron Gillen (3.8/10).  Here's a clip:

A handful of quests are available, but they're either simple running back and forth between NPCs, placed distantly on the sprawling faux-epic levels, or simply something that gives you a little more money or an item for killing a load of the monsters you're standing in a field with.

And playing as a Kamael fighter, I have a tiny number of tools with which to do so - none of which can distract me from the fact that I'm just pressing F1 and F2 until all the monsters die.

Lineage 2 - The Kamael Review @ HEXUS

by Inauro, 22:40

HEXUS reviews The Kamael, the latest content expansion for Lineage II.

For the new player, who won’t know the difference having never played the game, there’s an extra race to pick that really is an new race and not just one derived from a previously existing race. The titular Kamael have plenty different going for them and look like being a capable and diverse race to play from low through to high level. We’ll all still end up being Dwarves or Elves anyway but that’s not the point.

The tweaks made to the interface make Lineage II: The Chaotic Throne - The Kamael a lot more inviting for the new player too and that satellite view map is a big bonus. Being able to arrange your backpack, whilst sounding trivial is, as any long term RPGer will agree, pretty much a given nowadays and I know that I use mine almost like a ‘to do’ diary, so not having the game sort it is a godsend.

Lineage 2 - Revisited Review @ GameZone

by Inauro, 20:50

GameZone revisits Lineage II and finds that with the release of The Kamael many player concerns have been addressed, but the core game remains unchanged.

What is readily apparent in the latest bit of evolution in the game is that several concerns of players have not only been heard, but implemented. In the past, attacking a castle required that the event be scheduled, but not for those who could not stand the wait, a fortress siege system has been added. There are nine castles in the world but 41 fortresses are now in place. A clan can attack at any time, and should they conquer the fortress, then certain leveling benefits and skills become available. Recently announced was the opportunity for players to (for a fee) change names, gender and – later this month – even jump to a different server.

Lineage 2 - The Kamael Review @ Ten Ton Hammer

by Inauro, 21:09

Ten Ton Hammer offers some impressions of The Kamael, the latest expansion for Lineage II.

To me, the improvements that the developers have made to Lineage II are quite remarkable from what I remember experiencing in my early beta days. Although the leveling treadmill still exists - it is considered a "hard" game after all - the initial incline has been lessened and new players are now eased into the game rather than simply being pushed into the deep end of the swimming pool. However, those of you that simply didn't enjoy Lineage II may not find many new elements that catch your fancy. Combat hasn't changed and the "grind factor" still remains. The graphics and sound are still very similar to what you would have seen years ago. Many components of the Lineage II equation simply weren't modified.

Lineage 2 - The Kamael Preview @ WarCry

by Inauro, 22:02

WarCry previews The Kamael, the upcoming expansion pack for Lineage II.

The look of the Kamael is impressive: one wing, sullen blood-hued eyes and facial features that convey remorse or regret. I'm a huge fan of melee combat and I feel I may need to abandon my Blade Dancer for a bit and create a Kamael of my very own. Part of this came from my being able to play as a Level 80 Kamael and experience everything that they will be able to do. The Kamael do outstanding melee damage and the added bonus of Final Form. Seriously, when a Kamael activates Final Form, other characters and creatures should be stunned/mezzed for 10 seconds. Being able to spread not one white wing, but two black ones for the first time will be a special moment for any player who makes it to the highest level. I know I never will on a live server so I will always cherish that memory.

Lineage 2 - The Kamael Overview @ MMORPG.com

by Inauro, 21:09

Laura Genender tours the Lineage II offices and reports back with an oveview of the upcoming expansion, The First Throne: The Kamael.

The 1st Throne: The Kameal is, as said above, the largest free expansion in Lineage II history. Our first glimpse of this expansion in gameplay was character creation, which now included the racial choice Kamael.

The Kamael are a race shrouded in mystery. Created by the giants to fight the gods and their creatures, the Kamael were long ago lost from the rest of the known world. This expansion marks the rediscovery of this race.

Lineage 2 - Future Direction @ Official Site

by Inauro, 23:54

Lineage II Producer Tim So talks about the game's future direction at the official site.

So what is coming up for Lineage II? Well the obvious big news is the approaching update. I’m really excited about what’s coming in Lineage® II: The Chaotic Throne - The 1st Throne: The Kamael™. We will be featuring a new race called the Kamael. I’m sure I’ll be creating at least one when the servers go live! Other things that I’m looking forward to are the new hunting areas of Oracle Isle and Hellbound, new items and item slots, and especially Fortress Battles. I really think Fortress Battles will solidify our status as the premier PvP MMO. Groups and small clans will be able to battle 24/7 for fortresses, and earn the right to use specific skills by claiming them. I’m currently looking at launching the live update before the year ends. PTS will open up in a couple of months and we’ll be sure to let everyone know as soon as we have a more concrete date.

Lineage 2 - Review @ Strategy Informer

by Inauro, 00:46

Strategy Informer reviews Lineage II and concludes:

Lineage II has some strong points and an appealing art style but the shear scale of the grind for both experience and material possessions is daunting and would be for even seasoned gamers. For all the pet systems, castle sieges and interesting environments to crawl through on occasion Lineage II soon loses its shine from numbing repetition. Even these latest revival attempts by NCSoft, like duelling, don’t seem enough to bring much life back into the game. If you’re a casual MMO gamer and like the nice quiet solo life then look elsewhere – co-operation is vital in the later stages for increasing wealth and your characters power, it’s just too bad the chat and group system makes that too, a chore.

Lineage 2 - Chat Transcript @ MMORPG.com

by Inauro, 23:13

MMORPG.com has posted the transcript of its recently held Lineage II chat session in which, it must be said, the developers gave a rather stunning lack of useful answers.

MMORPG: Wolferey: Why is there no european language support in Lineage II? We play the game too.. Our clan is almost purely swedish with some norwegian players.. and there are plenty of European players ingame, why can't we have our ä, ö, å, ø, æ etc. in chat/MSN? Its impossible to speak in our language in clan/ingame MSN/PM etc. :/

[NC]Ornery: We didn't have plans to add these features, but I will take note of your concerns.

MMORPG: Smash: Will server transfers ever become a reality in NA/Europe? Korea already has them but we don't ever seem to get a solid answer.

[NC]Ornery: We are much closer to having server transfers than we have ever been. It's currrently #1 on my priority list, but I don't have an exact date for it's implementation.

Lineage 2 - Interlude Details Revealed

by Inauro, 23:00

NCSoft has released some new details about Interlude, the next free update for Lineage II .

Thursday 29th March/...Further information on NCsoft's highly anticpated Lineage II the Chaotic Throne Interlude is revealed by Associate Producer Tim Tan.

What is Interlude?

Interlude is the next huge, free update for Lineage II offering the chance to take part in a game that has captured the imagination and reached over 14 million gamers worldwide. Forming a bridge between the Chaotic Chronicles and the future Chaotic Throne (scheduled for later in 2007) Interlude hints at what is to come in the challenging times ahead. Interlude is scheduled to launch in April.

New Territories – Interlude

Primeval Isle – South of Rune Castle lies the mysterious territory of Primeval Isle. This ancient and primitive land was lost to the rest of Aden for years. This allowed many species of creatures, once thought extinct, to grow and strive untouched by the will of man. As time passed, explorers from the mainland found the island. Hungry for the riches they hoped to find, waves of humans settled on the island. What lies ahead for new adventurers?

Primeval Wharf

Located on the northwest corner of the island is the Wharf. Unless you possess superior swimming abilities, your best bet on reaching Primeval Isle is to take a ferry from Rune Harbor. Once you reach the wharf, you will be greeted by a host of humans, each pursuing the goal of claiming fame and riches. Here you can purchase supplies, find out more about the history of the Island, accept quests from locals who are in need of help, or for the eager to return to the mainland, acquire a ticket for a trip back home. For a price you can even summon fallen companions to you at the wharf.

Primeval Plains

Located south of the Wharf are the Primeval Plains. This vast open area is inhabited by Ornithomimus, Deinonychus, Pachykepalosaurus, and Wild Striders. Adventurers looking for a challenge can seek and try to defeat the raid boss “Uruka”. Uruka is known to roam the southern half of the plains. Far to the south, you can speak to Orachochin. He can assist you with arranging a face to face meeting with the leaders of the reptilian Elroki.

Elroki Isle

Located south of the main island is the Elroki Isle. This place is home to the leaders of the rational and sentient reptilian Elroki. A proud and noble race, the Elrokians have mastered the habitat by learning how to hunt the ever present dinosaurs. Here you may gain favor with the islands' natural inhabitants by completing the tasks that they may have for you.

Lost Nest

Located east of the Primeval Plains is the Lost Nest. Here the sky is obscured by the seemingly ever-present cover of tree branches. The Lost Nest is home to Velociraptor, Arachnoid, and Pterosaur. Those looking for a challenge can also see out the fearsome Tyrannosaurus. As the natural predator of the island, the Tyrannosaurus should be approached with caution.

Sailren’s Lair

Located in the southeast of the Lost Nest is the Sailren’s Lair. The Sailren is a raid boss level monster that has survived on the island for many years. During this time he’s collected quite a treasure trove. Do you have what it takes to defeat the Sailren, and claim some of the treasure as your own?

Lineage 2 - Chaotic Throne Coming

by Dhruin, 13:35

It seems the current incarnation of Lineage II is coming to an end, with a new installment due to kick off in April:

Wednesday 21st February/...NCsoft® Corporation is pleased to announce the impending conclusion to Lineage® II: The Chaotic Chronicle™, one of the world’s largest and most popular massively multiplayer online role-play games (MMORPG) already enjoyed by 14 million gamers worldwide. The ending of The Chaotic Chronicle marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the expanding Lineage II saga, with the launch of The Chaotic Throne™. The first chapter; Lineage II: The Chaotic Throne – Interlude is expected on European and US servers from April 2007.

Interlude is the bridging link between Lineage II: The Chaotic Chronicle, and the beginning of a new chapter, The Chaotic Throne. Over the past three years since the launch of Lineage II: The Chaotic Chronicle, the game has seen vast changes to its strong visual style and game play, in the form of free updates for its subscribing players. Interlude will build on this tradition, starting players on an epic new adventure with new lands to explore, new adversaries to defeat and new challenges to overcome.

SUMMARY:

New Zone – Primeval Isle – Pterodactyls dominate the skies and vicious dinosaurs prowl the earth in a hunting ground for top-level players.

New Items - 15,000 different items to be discovered

More weapon augmentations for incredible bonuses - With the help of a Blacksmith, players can receive even more spectacular bonuses to abilities, battle values and skills

Shadow Weapons - Weapons can be expensive – limiting their acquisition to advanced players with enough money. Shadow Weapons look and behave like ‘the real thing’ but are cheap enough for new players to afford them. However, as shadows of real weapons, they will eventually wear out and disappear.

New Duelling system –PvP almost anywhere with no penalties. No need to go to an arena and for the first time – see your opponent’s hit points!

Multiple New Quests – enter the mighty Siren’s lair or capture a Tyrannosaurus to bring fame and fortune to your clan. Just one of the many new quests that will test the mettle of the most hardened players

Multiple New Skills – over 60 new high level skills added to the game let players expand and develop even further and bring new dynamics to PvP and PvE combat. Players will have no shortage of ingenious ways of dealing with their adversaries.

Lineage 2 - Interview @ WarCry

by Dhruin, 10:57

WarCry has an interview with unnamed members of the North American Lineage II team:

WarCry: Is NCSoft planning to introduce new dragons into the game, such as the ones that were in Lineage1?

L2 Dev Team: We currently have two raid level dragons in the game Antharas and Valakas. Both share ties to Lineage I. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of their friends show up in future updates, but there are no concrete plans or timeframe for inclusion in the game at this moment.

Lineage 2 - Epic Collection Review @ GameZone

by Dhruin, 23:47

GameZone has reviewed Lineage II: The Epic Collection - a pack that contains all five of the released Chronicles plus screenshot gallery, movies, wallpapers, the L2 fansite kit and a colour map.  The score is 8.4/10 and here's a snip:

The core gameplay remains essentially the same from when NCsoft first launched the title. What has changed has been the robust enforcement of the EULA (end-user licensing agreement) that has attempted to close down hackers and bots (computer controlled farmers who then turn around to sell items and gold for real-life money on other Web sites). While somewhat successful, not all the farmers are gone. However, the ones encountered in forays into the world have been of a kinder nature, and instead of just uttering, “Yankee, go, go, PK, PK, PK!” (PK referring to player killing – they would kill you so that their farming territory would belong to them), they mostly allow players to continue on in the game world.

Lineage 2 - L2Extreme Shut Down @ Official Site

by Inauro, 21:43

NCSoft and the FBI have announced that they have managed to shut down the operations of L2Extreme.  Here's the official word:

Wednesday 22nd November/...FBI Agents working in conjunction with officials from NCsoft’s® North American business successfully closed down a computer game operation alleged to be reaping profits by providing a fraudulent service to its players. The operation was closed down after multiple raids and interviews were conducted in various cities from California to Virginia.

Federal search warrants were served on owners of L2Extreme who were also questioned during the raid. L2Extreme was providing its users with unauthorized service and code for NCsoft’s online computer game, Lineage® II. The warrants enabled officials to halt L2Extreme’s operations while collecting further evidence in the course of the investigation.

The FBI estimates L2Extreme has up to 50,000 active users on its service. NCsoft estimates that monetary losses and damages from the operation are costing NCsoft millions of dollars per year.

L2Extreme advertised on its website, www.l2extreme.com, that more than half million registered users had subscribed to play.

“Operations like this essentially are defrauding customers by stealing from companies like NCsoft,” said Matt Esber, NCsoft North America general counsel. “In the end those losses impact our customer support, product development, operational areas and ultimately they impact our player communities, most of which are trying to play games legitimately. This group in particular was downloading our version of the Lineage II software from our servers, costing us close to a million dollars in realized bandwidth costs during the period it was operational.

“We’ve taken this action because we strongly believe in defending the intellectual property rights that we’ve worked so hard to create. We’re extremely pleased that the FBI has worked with us so diligently to bring this particular case to its current state and we want our customers to understand that we will continue to fight similar operations in the future in order to maintain the integrity of all NCsoft games.”

The investigation into the L2Extreme operation is ongoing.

Lineage 2 - Pirates @ IGN

by Inauro, 21:25

IGN brings word that NCSoft, working in conjunction with the FBI, has shut down a sizeable pirate software outfit operating in the Lineage 2 space.

Today NCsoft announced that, through the cooperation of the FBI, a major software pirating organization has been shut down. After several raids in cities across the country, FBI agents closed down an operation called L2Extreme, which provided unauthorized access to the persistent online RPG Lineage II. NCsoft claimed L2Extreme was reaping profits from its illegal service.

Lineage 2 - Interview @ RPG Vault

by Inauro, 00:48

RPG Vault talks with composer Inon Zur about his work on Chronicle 5: Oath of Blood, the latest expansion for NCSoft's Lineage 2.

Jonric: For the benefit of readers who aren't familiar with Inon Zur, how would you summarize who you are and the highlights of your career, both in general and related to games?

Inon Zur:
I was born in Israel and came to America in 1990, where I studied music at the Grove School of Music and UCLA Music for Film program. In 1993, I got my first break in the industry, scoring episodes of the late night TV show Valley of the Dolls. Later on, I started working as a staff composer at the Fox Family Channel. There, I composed over 300 episodes of youth entertainment programming like Power Rangers, Beetle Borgs, Escaflowne, Digimon and many other shows.

Lineage 2: Chronicle 5 - Interview @ GameZone

by Dhruin, 22:27
GameZone has kicked up an interview with NCsoft's Adam Davidson. the NA producer for Lineage II. The questions are aimed at the latest 5th Chronicle expansion, and here's a snip:
Question: Oath of Blood added content across the board for players, but if you had to single out the items that received the most attention with this chronicle, what would they be?

Adam: Well, the two that I would look to first are the changes to the clan system and the inclusion of the Demon Sword Zariche, but for very different reasons. The new clan system has a fairly major impact on the social and game dynamics facing the high-end game. Alliances can no longer be a conglomeration of several smaller clans, but instead are restricted to three, however, the size and capabilities of the clans are significantly increased, and promote taking in lower level players to develop them. The Demon Sword Zariche, however, impacts very few players, but our community has become pretty enamored with the concept of the item and the uniqueness of it in contrast with the rest of the weapons of Lineage II. We saw a great deal more buzz and excitement for this item than we expected.

Lineage 2: Dev Team Q&A @ Official Site

by Inauro, 01:35
The Lineage 2 development team answers more player-submitted questions about the future of the game.
Dashammer: Will the special ability Might Mortal ever be actually removed from all present daggers with the SA?

Lineage II Dev Team: Hello, Dashammer! The Mortal Strike (previously named Might Mortal) special ability made the dagger classes too strong and this change was made to balance this issue. But we are not planning to remove the existing daggers with the Mortal Strike special ability. We will leave them as is, rare items.

Balis: Will summons in the future be allowed to use potions/clan buffs/overlord buffs?

Lineage II Dev Team: Hello, Balis! Yes, we are trying to make this happen but due to the technical difficulties and the balancing issues, we need more time to implement this.

Lineage 2: Chronicle 5 Dev Journal @ MMORPG.com

by Inauro, 01:32
The Lineage 2 development team share some details about the changes to PvP included in Chronicle 5: Oath of Blood.
In Chronicle 5: Oath of Blood, every class in Lineage II has received a new skill or a change to an existing skill to enhance Player vs. Player combat. Almost 50 new skills have been added in Chronicle 5, beginning at level 46, to introduce new and challenging tactics to defeat an opponent.

Each class belongs to an overall group, and a balance was established between the five groups. Within the fighter classes, the three groups form their own balance against each other. These melee groups can be vulnerable to Damage Dealing Mystic classes, but are superior to Healing/Buffing Mystics in combat. Healing/Buffing Mystics also have new abilities at their disposal to effectively combat the Damage Dealing Mystics.

Lineage 2: Interview @ MMORPG.com

by Inauro, 23:06
MMORPG.com talks with Adam Davidson, the producer of Lineage 2. In addition to the <a href="http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/setview/features/loadFeature/802/gameID/46" target="_blank">interview</a> they also have eleven new <a href="http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/setview/features/loadFeature/801/gameID/46/page/1" target="_blank">screenshots</a> on offer.<blockquote><em><b>MMORPG.com</b>: How big is Chronicle 5 in comparison with past Chronicles? How does it compare with Chronicle 4 in terms of landmass, quests, skills, equipment, etc.? <br> <br><b>Adam Davidson</b>: Chronicle 4 remains our largest Chronicle to date, but Chronicle 5 is right on its heels, perhaps in some ways bigger. Many of the facets focused on in Chronicle 5 are more systemic, such as the clan improvements and class balancing efforts. In this expansion wea "!ve revitalized multiple systems that both appeal to new players and enrich the experience of veterans. So that, plus new lands, new castles, new contestable clan halls, new monsters and all the other things players expect from a Lineage II Chronicle, means this one is pretty huge in impact. I really think this expansion will be great for the western markets.</em></blockquote><a href="http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/setview/features/loadFeature/802/gameID/46" target="_blank">More...</a>
