Tales of Aravorn - Review @ Chalgyr's

by Couchpotato, 04:36

Nick of Chalgyr's Game Room published a new review for Tales of Aravorn. He gave the game a 7.25/10 because it meets its goals, and provides fun for the player.

Tales of Aravorn: Seasons Of The Wolf does a nice job of blending two genres I enjoy a great deal and coming out of it with an entertaining game. The characters really help to elevate the story and the combat and RPG elements make this a more entertaining experience for those who want more from their games than to just read a bunch of text and click some options now and then along the way. This is the sort of hybrid game that could encourage people to give visual novels more of a chance than they might otherwise be included to do. Seasons Of The Wolf will not be for everyone due to its somewhat slow pace and lack of AAA production values, but should resonate with gamers who enjoy a good tale and strategic combat.

Tales of Aravorn - Review @ TechRaptor

by Couchpotato, 00:41

TechRaptor's Don Parsons posted the latest review for ToA: Seasons of the Wolf. Unlike the RPGamer review he found the game to good, and gave it a final score of 7/10.

On the whole, I enjoyed Seasons of the Wolf. I think that its focus on the adventures of a group of friends who forge bonds in circumstances over a period of time is nice and different from the constant type of epic fantasy we often see. It’s well written, has interesting characters and its combat more or less works, though some more diversity in skills would have been welcome. The combat isn’t very hard, on normal at least, so if you want a challenge I suggest turning up the difficulty.

Tales of Aravorn - Review @ RPGamer

by Couchpotato, 05:06

Alex Fuller of RPGamer reviewed the recently released RPG game Tales of Aravorn: Seasons Of The Wolf, and calls the game average with a final score of 3/5.

If forced to choose between Seasons Of The Wolf and its predecessor, then Loren The Amazon Princess would get the nod purely for its more rewarding overall storyline and larger set of intriguing characters. However, Seasons Of The Wolf provides a decent follow-up, and those who have enjoyed Winter Wolves' previous excursions or other visual novels should find it well worth the fifteen to twenty hours it takes to get through.
