Zavix Tower - Mage and Priest Update

The Mage and Priest characters in the old-school, party-based, first-person RPG Zavix Tower got an update:

Update 1.31b Mage Content:

Hey Everyone,

I got some bug fixes and mage stuff for you guys today!

Notes:

  • New Mage Talent: Improved Frost Nova, Frost Nova now does 5% more damage per point spent.
  • New Mage Talent: Greater Frost Nova, Frost Nova now also hits up to 2 random enemies in the back row.
  • New Mage Talent: Slowing Mind, Counter Spell now also reduces the targets Spell Power by 5% per point spent. The effect lasts 3 turns.
  • New Mage Talent: Weakened Mind, The Slowing Mind effect of Counter Spell lasts 1 more turn.
  • New Mage Talent: Devastating Power, Power Overwhelming now grants 3% more spell power per point spent.
  • New Mage Talent: Lasting Power, Power Overwhelming now grants last 1 more turn.
  • New Mage Talent: Improved Ignite, Ignite now does 5% more spell damage per point spent.
  • Frost Nova has had its mana cost slightly reduced
  • Frost Nova has had its base damage increased slightly.
  • Fixed a bug with talent tool tip width scaleing.
  • Fixed a bug where strength totem could give you reduced damage.
  • Crusader Aura now works as intended
  • Empowering Aura now works as intended.
  • Fixed Power Overwhelming tool tip.
  • I put a fix in for some of the network crashes that crept in last patch, let me know if you guys are still getting the crashes (they dont happen for me), and I will keep working on it if they dont go away.
  • Added a sound for buying and selling.

Update 1.31c Priest Content:

Hey Everyone,

I got some bug fixes and priest stuff for you guys today! These additions should make the priest an amazing healer :)

Notes:

  • New Priest Talent: Lasting Pain, Righteous Pain now lasts 1 more turn.
  • New Priest Talent: Light's Embrace, Your heal spells now grant the target armor equal to 15% of the heal per point spent. The effect lasts 3 turns.
  • New Priest Talent: Light's Favor, Your heal spells now also heals a random hero for 5% of the heal per point spent. The effect lasts 3 turns.
  • New Priest Talent: Engaging Light, After battle your whole party heals for 1% your Heal spells heal value per point spent. The effect lasts 3 turns.
  • New Priest Talent: Improved Magic Screen, Magic Screen now reduces spell damage by 2% more per point spent.
  • New Priest Talent: Lasting Magic Screen, Magic Screen now lasts 1 more turn.

Now all 6 current classes have more talents than points available. This does NOT mean they are finished, I would like to eventually add 15 more points worth for each class at a later date...

Next I will be adding town quests, and trying to focus on getting the Druid done. There is quite a lot to do on both of these so bare with me :)

Zavix Tower - Released

The old school Dungeon Crawler Zavix Tower has been released:

You arrive at the tavern, a bright shiny upstart with dreams of treasure and loot. And look, there's three other such types JUST like you in here. What are the odds? Perhaps it was destiny. Perhaps you were meant to meet these strangers: a Rogue, a Mage, a Priest...

Wait, a Rogue? No, you can't trust a thief with all that Treasure around. That's just plain ridiculous. Maybe let's go talk to another Warrior type like yourself. Now that I think about it, you've got nothing in common with the Mage or Priest. What'll you discuss? Boring stuff, most likely.

Maybe we don't need the Mage, then. Maybe add that other Warrior type over there, hitting on the barman. She looks pretty strong. She'll help get a lot of treasure.

Actually, why the Priest? He'll just make us all feel like crap with his "holier than thou" talk and whatnot. That's a drag. You just want to bash monsters and steal their loot, after all. Who needs the guilt trip? Not you, that's the truth.

Maybe it wasn't fate to run into that overly diverse crowd.

But it doesn't matter. Whether you want four Warriors, three Mages and a Priest, or maybe a smattering of each, your true destiny lies in the pillaging of the Tower. So be diligent, young explorer, and prepare to get rich or die trying... perhaps dying multiple times. It happens.
