IGN - Revisiting Quest for Glory I & II

by Couchpotato, 2014-11-06 04:57:18

Starting out in Quest for Glory is nothing like other Sierra adventure games of its day. What’s this? I have to choose one of three different character classes; fighter, magic user, or thief? And now I have a bunch of points to distribute among a large list of attributes and skills that will help improve my character? We’re talking stuff like strength, vitality, intelligence, and even things like throwing ability. Which, one assumes would help out quite a bit when your character decides to start their own medieval baseball league.

Hold on a second, isn’t this a Sierra game with Quest in the title? Doesn’t that mean that we’re playing an adventure game? Actually, dear reader, it’s not strictly an adventure game, it’s more like a role-playing game in adventure clothing.
