Lords of Xulima - Update #16, $25K Goal Reached

by Couchpotato, 2013-11-27 03:59:07

In the latest kickstarter update for Lords of Xulima Numantian Games announces the $25K stretch was reached, offers beta access, and talks about the impious princes.

New Reward : Special Beta Player Edition!

Many people have requested BETA access to the game but have said that the tier for this reward is more than they can afford to contribute at this time. We would like to clarify that the $100 tier not only gets you access to the BETA version, but also allows you to participate in the design of the game as you will be in direct contact with the developers and we will be sharing with you many in depth details regarding Lords of Xulima.

That said, we have decided to create a new level for all of those who want to play Lords of Xulima before everyone else. The new $45 reward tier includes access to the BETA version and access to the BETA forums where you will be able to share your opinions and feedback. Of course, this reward also includes all of the backer rewards from the previous tiers, including the Bronze Medal in the credits. All rewards above $45 will also now include BETA access. We hope you enjoy it!

$25K Mini-goal Reached!

We are pleased to announce that we are now half way to our fourth goal. Thank you once more for your support! Thanks to you, day after day Lords of Xulima is advancing through goal after goal.

And now… Just as is likely to happen in RPGs when you’re trying to make a long and dangerous journey through a wild and uncharted area, we’ve stumbled across a random encounter!

Often these are with dangerous enemies, sometimes they happen with friendly characters, and on rare occasions one may even encounter a special event. Now that we have reached this mini-goal, we are going to add some new elements to give more color and variety to random encounters in Lords of Xulima, including a new special enemy. We are doing this to thank you for all of your support.

The Cursed Hounds

Due to the fact that they look like common hounds from far away, some think they are animals. In reality they belong to the powerful demon race. In the beginning, they only inhabited the volcanic region of Vilak, but when the Lords of Xulima abandoned the Earth, these terrible beings spread out across the continent. There are not many of them and it is very rare to see one, but if you hear their terrible howling, you’d better stay away. It is said that these beasts can smell magical objects and that after they devour their victims they carry the objects back to their leader, Arraz Gul, who lies atop a mountain of such treasures. Nobody knows where their lair is found, and if they did, what person would be fool enough to enter?
