Atlus - Persona game on PC, 'online RPG' on the table

by Silver, 06:38

@PCGamer Atlus is asking whether or not you want a Persona game on PC. The Survey is in Japanese but translated here by Siliconera.

Annual survey from the Sega-owned developer raises prospect of PC remakes.

Would you like to see a Persona game on PC? Perhaps a remake of Persona 4, or a new shooter set in the Persona universe? Those are the kind of questions that developer Atlus, owned by Sega, is asking fans in an annual survey. The survey isn't exclusively focused on PC gaming, but asks fans to answer questions about which remakes they'd like to see from the Persona or Shin Megami Tensei series, and also asks what platforms they'd like to see those remakes on, including PC. Presumably, enough people ticking the right boxes could set the wheels in motion.

Atlus - Project Re Fantasy

by Silver, 21:16

@Gematsu they have the details on Atlus' new RPG called Project Re Fantasy at the moment.

The new game, currently titled Project Re Fantasy, is currently without an announced platform, release date, or price. It is a completely new RPG set in a fantasy world, rather than a modern world as recent Atlus games like Shin Megami Tensei and Persona have been set.

Project Re Fantasy is in development at Studio Zero, a new studio established by Atlus that features talents such as Persona series producer and director Katsura Hasino, artist Shigenori Soejima, and composer Shoji Meguro.

Atlus - Announcing Fantasy RPG Dec 23rd

by Silver, 09:38

@Gematsu they report that Atlus is set to announce a new fantasy RPG December 23rd.

Here's a message from Hashino via Studio Zero's official website:

25 years ago, the Atlus RPG uttered its first cry. Speaking of RPGs in those days, the stories in so-called "fantasy" worlds were mainstream. The Shin Megami Tensei series was released as an "opposition" to such a "common" world view, and the Persona series was released as its spin-off. Both series, even today in their latest entries, have always been made with the concept that it will be a counter to the times. And now, in addition to continuing the titles within those series, what will our approach to a new RPG be? That is, to challenge the norms of the genre gamers have been consuming for decades. The challenge is about to begin. We would be happy if you would stand by for the moment we began from zero and the moment we began our challenge from zero.

- Katsura Hashino, producer and game director
