Strength
The strength parameter is used to resemble the
strength of a person. A stronger person has more chance to hit
someone and can inflict more damage per hit. In addition to
that, the stronger someone is, the more weight he or she can
carry. Finally a stronger person has more luck when trying to
bash open a door or a lock.
Who should use it ?
The strength parameter is most effective for a fighter.
This is because a fighter can use weapons that can inflict a
large amount of damage, more than the weapons of a mage or a
thief. The strength parameter can then positively influence
the inflicted amount of damage resulting in even more damage.
But the strength parameter can also be usefull
for the other classes who can only use dagger type of weapons
or maybe small swords. With these weapons they are more effective
with a larger strength parameter.
The Nameless One
At the end of the page the table is given that indicates what the effect is of increasing the strength parameter. From this table you can see that adjustment to the inflicted damage and the ability to hit someone start at 16 and 17 respectively.
The Nameless One starts out with a value of 9 for the strength parameter. When you want to be a fighter then increase this value to at least 15. You have the possibility to increase this even further in the game, so you should not overdo it.
If being a thief or a mage is your thing than the points can
be used better for other things. I would suggest therefor to
increase the value to 12 or 13. On the other hand if you want
to be a killer mage then increase it even further. Remember
that it is your game.
The Table
The following table lists the modifications that are applied to one's abilities given a certain strength.
