Elsewhere in the interview, the Larian frontman confirms that the studio is working toward something that’s going to “dwarf” Baldur’s Gate 3, but this isn’t going to be Larian’s next title, which, according to Swen, is already in development and is another “big game.”
I guess that means D:OS3 is still being worked on which is good news indeed! Hopefully only another 3-4 years away assuming it is going to take at least twice as long as D:OS2 due to higher production quality (animation etc).

But do you know an interesting little fact? These purchases are not even microtransactions. It’s all just a very big misunderstanding. People familiar with Capcom’s games will know that it always adds these little, one-time packs in its games that serve as a sort of head start for your journey. These are all items you can get otherwise as well by playing the game.
What? No, you shill.

You should listen to all the people who have never played the game and have no clue what they are talking about, they'll tell you how their holy knight principles dictate that this game is evil and bad, and probably used underaged children in a Vietnamese underground factory to code it.

Now get out of here and go make another fake account in metacritic to downvote the game, make sure to repeat in every post "unethic microtransactions and performance issues" even if you never saw any of it, we must win this war.

Just showing some random appreciation for this thread. A lot of the best articles and news I find in this site come from this thread. Keep it up, people are reading even if we don't reply a lot!

More articles of variable quality that might be of intrest to some.

Yellow Brick Games debuts with Dragon Age creator Mike Laidlaw

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arV9OC1ZiSw
Today marks an exciting milestone for Yellow Brick Games, as we anticipate the reveal date of our debut Fantasy Action-Adventure game. After four years of very hard work, we are thrilled to say that next Tuesday – April 2nd our game will be presented to the world through an IGN First feature scheduled for the entire month of April. This deep dive will provide many details into our all-new fantasy world, as well as behind-the-scenes insights from our developers.

Additionally, Yellow Brick Game announces a notable change: we’ll be taking the self-publishing route to bring this game to market in 2025.

As we embark on this new chapter, our amazing team of 68 talented human beings is filled with excitement and determination. Since the beginning of our project, we’ve been incredibly fortunate to receive unwavering support from friends, partners, other studios, and, most importantly, our growing community. We’re taking control of the release of our new game, and we know you’ll still be with us on our journey down this newly independent road. Yellow Brick Games is in a strong position to deliver the cutting-edge and refined independent gaming experience we set out to build at the company’s founding in 2020—a game that reflects our passion for innovation, quality, and storytelling.

Hellgate: Redemption Revealed
Hellgate: London is an influential game that was ahead of its time in numerous ways. It pioneered the Looter Shooter genre, featuring randomly generated levels that demanded a proprietary 3D engine with real-time lighting support, and employed a business model that was unique at the time, now widely recognized as a Battle Pass. That era of gaming even required the formation of a second company to build and operate the online portion of Hellgate: London.

“By using Unreal Engine 5, cloud-based game servers, as many off-the-shelf solutions as possible, and great co-development partnerships, we’re putting every development dollar toward gameplay and innovation,” explains Roper. “We’re keeping core gameplay and lore elements of Hellgate: London in our current design, but our intent is to build an exciting new experience that takes advantage of the numerous advances the industry has seen over the past 17 years since the original game launched.”

Sad to see Gearbox falling so hard; the Borderlands games will always hold a special place in my heart.
