I doubt it will have anything to do with RPGs but industry observers might be interested to see ZeniMax continues their spending spree, buying Tango Gameworks. It's not a name I know but Tango's lead is the legendary Shinji Mikami, creator of the Resident Evil series.

I really hate to say this considering this is Beth I'm talking about, but I wouldn't mind playing a Bethesda sandbox style zompocalypse. Obsidian's shown me that someone with some talent can make a really interesting game out of those sandboxes Beth creates. Maybe Shinji could do for Beth what Obsidian just did.

It's far fetch, I know, but not out of the realm of possibility. Just keep Beth's writers far away from it. As a matter of fact Beth could just fire its writers and have these other developers make the games. Beth can still make the engines, but stay far away from writing anything.
