I guess it's important to emphasize that they pay in money, or people might assume that they pay in cigarettes or postage stamps

I still wish they weren't doing the whole pixel art thing; a game like this could benefit from a more realistic art style, but I guess this is probably one of the cheapest ways to make art for a game. Still looking forward to this.

Personally when I get paid I prefer cash over, say, twinkies, so it's a good idea to make the distinction. Money cuts right through the bs! =p

"We pay with money." Meaning contract work, as opposed to a job or an interest in the company or residuals from sales. Also maybe it is meant to mean that this is a 'work for hire' contract. Meaning Prisonscape will own the resulting art assets and be considered the legal author rather than the artist him or herself who just gets cash.
