Plenty of nice things to look forward in that list, RPG and otherwise. I'm still enamoured by the depth and plausibility of Mass Effect's universe, but won't turn my back on many of those other titles. Won't touch Halo with a 10 meter pole though.

BattleTech seems like a big one to miss, as well as the Warhammer 40K new title coming up, which looks pretty good (Inquisitor, if I remember well).

But I agree, some of those look tasty. There are quite a few I haven't heard of before. Like Planet Nomads. Apparently they're planning a KickStarter this month.

wire already noticed one leftout, I don't see Elex (not 2016 according to some, but I don't see an official word).

And for half of listed titles I've never heard about. So much for "top" upcoming.

There's also Starcrawlers, Insomnia, Star Traders 2, Ama's Lullaby, Galactic Insomnia, Zunyrook, Space Shock, Outland 17, Frozen State, etc…

Not that I would expect any main stream gaming site's top 25 upcoming sci fi game list to include obscure indie RPGs, just mentioning them in case any of you are unaware or forgot about them.

Yes, but you can hardly say its "upcoming game of 2016+". But if you take "beyond" as "after few years" then I cant argue with that.

Ama's Lullaby wasn't canceled, but definitely slow going / possibly reduced in scope. There are posts as recent as September 2015 on the facebook page and RPGWatch thread.

IIRC, the lead developer is teaching himself (herself?) how to code because their programmer bailed on the project. Sadly sounds like one of those projects that could really use crowdfunding, but probably couldn't draw a significant amount of money.
