Indeed, it's called KOTOR - Online :)

Well that's the point, the way Bioware wrote down its games list, the MMORPG that's been announced a while ago, and the recently LA/Bioware announcement would be two totally different things.
If that's true, then the announced MMORPG is not based on a Lucas Arts franchise therefore it can't be KOTOR Online.
If they're indeed two different games, it doesn't mean though that the Lucas Arts / Bioware partnership can not be Kotor Online. However it seems very unlikely that one single developer like Bioware would be working on two different MMORPGs given the scale and cost of such projects.
What this news means is that the Lucas Arts / Bioware is more likely to be a single player game, so yeah a single player KOTOR III sounds like the most obvious choice, perhaps with a multiplayer component a la Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights. But it could also be an Indiana Jones RPG or any other Lucas Arts intellectual property as a matter of fact.

Unless filthy tricky Bioware decided to list them as two different entries just to mislead us...

My last crazy theory would be that the MMORPG being developped at Austin isn't Star Wars. But there's been so many speculations and hopes it would be a Star Wars game --and disappointement of SWG-- since it's been officially announced in March 2006 that Lucas Arts thought "hey that's not a bad idea, how bout we ask Bioware to make a MMORPG for us on top of the one they're working on, perhaps they could even reuse the engine and such from their other MMORPG to cut costs" and so decided to make this new deal last October.
