Swen Vincke tweeted about Divinity Original Sin II's insane dialogue branching.


I walked into the office on a rainy afternoon and spotted one of our awesome scripters making the type of branching dialog that makes d:eek:s 2 such a complex game to make. I should probably follow up with a video from the writer's face when she sees it :)

Sounds good, but it could lead to too fractured dialogue..imo, rpg dialogue needs more interaction ( Npc's bluffing/intimidating You) and focus on different outcomes.

I think the amount of branching there is a good amount. They dont need more. From the look of it it has dialogue options per branch when you start branching.
