Why not?
Different people are fascinated by different things.
I know a guy that spends 90% of his free time connecting circuits and capacitors on drafting tables. Has absolutely zero purpose except he enjoys doing it and the challenge in his brain.

That's fine for the creator, but what is the appeal for the audience? Has this any benefits the original had not?

Ha! Maybe i'm the only one exited for this. Diablo 2 has been begging for a facelift for a while. Here's hoping to works great on ultrawide monitors.
