inXile have released the launch trailer for Wasteland Remastered on their website.

Originally released in 1988, Wasteland brought the post-apocalypse to video games and inspired a genre. Play one of history's defining RPGs with completely overhauled graphics, sound, and expanded musical score.

The year is 2087, nearly a century after an all-out nuclear war turned vast swaths of the Earth into a radioactive hellscape. You are a Desert Ranger, a band of stalwart lawmen who are the only hope left in what was once the American southwest, and good people's last defense against hunger, sickness, ravaging raiders, and mutants.

Hmm...as excited as I was about this, I have to admit that looks somewhat "meh" to me. Maybe I was just expecting a little too much.

I loved Wasteland when I played it on release, back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

For a remaster, they made some significant changes.

But A&B does not equal me giving a crap now. Looking forward to Wasteland 3, though.

It showed practically no gameplay, so it hasn't really changed my expectations (which are currently curious, expect I'll buy it and give it a go, hope to enjoy it, etc).

What's A&B?

I know I'll be playing this at some point just to see how it measures up to the original, might even play with the sound on!
