Even in Pool of Radiance Amiga (1990) (IIRC) developers could animate the goblin monster portrait as it made a move hitting you. Now 30 years later the developers couldn't bring themselves to make that mongrel do a dog-attack move by standing on its hind legs and biting the party. Pathetic!!

It does seem kind of weak, at least at this point. Perhaps some future updates/patches might be incoming, and if that happens I might be on board with picking up this version. If not, I'll stick to the classic one, which works fine for me.
Yeah, the Steam reviews aren't encouraging, and that includes many from buyers who purchased and enjoyed the remastered Bard's Tale trilogy.
I picked it up and have to say I'm not a fan. I enjoyed the Bard Tale Remasters but not this. Just don't have the patience for all the skill checks and attribute checks.

Well, Hastar's review likely did this one in for me, I do appreciate the warning.
Not sure what everyone here is talking about. The reviews on Steam are mostly positive.
