The gameplay and world created by CCP in EVE Online is complex, but thus also rewarding when having conquered the learning curve. A vital part of the gameplay is the player-driven world economy, that players can influence by harvesting, manufacturing and trading resources. Combat plays a significant part in the game too.
Skills are progressed in real-time, meaning you can not advance your character by playing the game but only by choosing a skill to develop and then wait the required amount of time until the skill has automatically been developed.
