Finally a video thumbnail with a quote on how I feel about the game. 
True my past comments talked about the game and it's flaws.
It wont be for everyone. Still I grew up playing EuroJank low budget games in the 1990's-2000's. The russian Fallout games were terrible, but somehow I still played them all.

I still haven't tried the release version, but I can't say the demo/playtest scratched much of an itch for me.
It's the kind of game I'd be more eager to play if there weren't so many quality action-RPGs already out there.

is it like elex and alike?
In some ways, yes, but it also has soulslike features. For example, you respawn upon dying, and you lose your current XP unless you retrieve it. Also, resting restores your HP/mana but also resets enemies.
