...and still waiting for a big, deep, open world, single-player LotR RPG... probably never going to happen, because (sarcasm coming) why would you ever make such an RPG for arguably the biggest, most-adored fantasy IP ever?

Yup, one of the most rich worlds ever created and no really good single player games. One day, perhaps.

Agree guys, no great ones. I think my favorites where the two by interplay which oddly he does not mention even though he says he played them all. Must be a younger guy...

To bad EA canned their open world action RPG as it looked promising.
Yeah, he only seems to go back so far. Of the titles mentioned, I only liked War in the North, and even that was just average for the most part.Agree guys, no great ones.
