Why are they not including past sales with that number?
It sounds better if you claim total sales for Cyberpunk 2077 were 30 million.

Because they're talking about Phantom Liberty?
It's an expansion for CP 2077 it is not a new separate game. That is the difference as you can not play Phantom Liberty without buying or owning CP 2077. That's my point.
Sure it's marketing but those five million add to the original sales.
Seems CDPR don't want to mention the main game anymore.

Er...no, it doesn't. It's not like the vast majority of people buying it didn't already own CP 2077.
I'm not shocked that they announce the results of their last product. It would be interesting to see if it boosted the sales of the original game, though. We know that CDPR announced they sold 25 million units in October, so 5 million in the last 12 months. A part of these games were likely bought in anticipation of PL, but I wonder how many have been sold since.
