Any way to adjust d-pad sensitivity on pc controller?

Hey. :)

So, simple question. Is there some program or something that can adjust the sensitivity of the analog sticks and d-pad on PC controllers?

I'm playing an RPGMaker game and my character slides around, often moving 2 spaces instead of 1 with just a simple tap of either the d-pad or analog stick. Considering the game is a grid-based dungeon crawler, this really makes it nearly unplayable for me.

So, any ideas? Help a brother out if you can. Thanks!

I'd have thought that would be down to the config app for that specific controller. Sounds like you need to reduce the repeat rate of the d-pad. Some controllers apps might be very limited, and not allow for that.

Yeah. I'm finding that Joy2Key has no such option, and I don't know of any other controller configuration programs that can offer those settings.

It basically makes the game I'm playing unplayable, which is a real shame. The issue also happens a bit with the keyboard controls as well. Maybe it's the game itself but I was just hoping I could reduce the repeat rate of the d-pad in a way that made it playable in the game.

Anyone else have any ideas?

I'm pretty sure you could do it with Xpadder. It's so powerful that you might need some guidance on their forum as to how exactly to do it, but it'll let you make a gamepad do almost anything you need.

Sorry I thought I had a link saved but can't find it if I even saved it a few years ago.

I don't have $9.99 for Xpadder at the moment.

I'm hoping there's some obscure, small little program somewhere that can help with us. I'll keep looking but if any of you guys get any ideas, please feel free to share them.

I really want to play this game as it's actually a first-person dungeon-crawler made with RPGMaker. Yes, as insane as that sounds, it's true.

So, I'll keep looking and hope someone comes up with something. Thanks for the comments regardless.
