So I'm a PC player and am interested in Alliance Alive HD Remaster. I have it for 3DS, but never played. Upon my research of AA, I see its combat and character progression is a lot like SaGa games. I've learned Cattle Call's other game, Legend of Legacy, is as well.
So I have a couple small questions. Is Alliance Alive sort of a fake "open world" game like Romancing SaGa 3 was (only SaGa game I played)? By fake, I mean, it comes off as open-world, but in reality it bottlenecks you to still be fairly linear in the game's progression. Other question is, does Cattle Call or FuRyu have ex-Square employees who worked on SaGa games? Since the inspiration is apparently so clearly there.
