If I ever leave my country, then my destination will be - China. At least they don't allow turning their nation into idiots who should pay monthly for already payed game.
Freedom is funny like that. It "allows" you to be free to choose what you want.
Just in case you're curious, I live in Taiwan. I have for the past eight years now and all of my contempt for China comes from my own personal experience and not from any politician's rhetoric or prejudice. Actually, before I came to Taiwan I was fond of China. The history and culture of that country was intriguing. However, the more I learned about the China of today the more I want nothing to do with it.
I hope you do get to go to China one day. I have had many friends who just absolutely love Shanghai. I think they're nuts, but I guess if you have money or certain skills, that are useful, then China is a great place to be. I just don't like how they treat their citizens. Taiwan has it's problems, but it's nothing compared to China.
Let me relate to you a little story about my girlfriend's parents. They went to China. Not to the major cities, but the rural areas. They wanted to take advantage of the progress that China and Taiwan have been making towards peaceful relations. Well everything is going ok until one day a Chinese man asks them where they are from. They reply, "Taiwan." He then goes on to say how he is looking forward to coming over here and killing everyone here. Of course this shook them quite a bit and even though this was an extreme case, it was about par-for-course with the Chinese attitude towards Taiwanese.
That is just one of the many reasons I despise everything to do with today's China. I have not even gotten started with how they China treats it's rural citizens and the 'supposed' freedom of the average Chinese citizen.
