FYI - it doesn't add a new difficulty setting as such. But it makes the difficulty more customizable.

Unless I missed something, that is.

I figured that, I just didn't want people to get the wrong impression from that headline.

Looks like I have to play again. Just finished the game this week. The Clerics seem like a good second choice for a faction. I would give Elex a solid 4 stars.

This is all well-and-good for Steam users, but as of 15 minutes ago, the GOG site still hasn't made the patch available for their clients.

As a customer who pre-ordered, that pisses me off.

I think there has not been a game in existence that patched on GOG as quickly as on Steam.
You knew what you were getting into.

What's your first choice?

I went with the Bezerkers the first time around. I could not pass up using a sword and magic. I really enjoyed it.

meh . . . looks like they are squashing some minor exploits.

I would have preferred a more coherent way of handling all the notes, audios and books in inventory. A ton of good back story stuff that is far too difficult to go through AFTER you secure it.

Another fix I wish for in this game is the ability to go independent because I really do not like any of the main factions. And the two independent factors are way far to my liking.

Additionally, all the back stabbing I have to do to advance in far too many of the quests is bringing my down from my Gothic high.
