Gamasutra has news that veteran RPG designer Ken Rolston has joined Hinterland Games to help with some new games. Lets hope it's not more MMO RPGs.
Ken Rolston, previously known as the lead designer on The Elder Scrolls titles Morrowind and Oblivion, has joined Hinterland Games, the team behind survival game The Long Dark.

Rolston is a 25 year industry veteran, whose credits extend beyond his work in the video game sphere, to pen and paper RPGs such as Paranoia and RuneQuest.
More information.

I remember Long dark from kickstarter it looked really good, I almost backed it but I decided against it because I was low on money now I am glad I didn't.

I don't think Ken has got it anymore, considering he was behind some of the bad design decisions of Morrowind and Oblivion, and he worked on the very underwhelming Amalur.

Yep, Rolston has lost all cred he ever had. He'll have to do something extraordinary to ever get back in the limelight.

I love Ken Rolston! He is a big inspiration to me.

I started really appreciating him during the years leading up to the release of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I watched nearly every interview he did and he always had great energy, colorful insight and seemed to have a true passion for his work.

In my opinion, he's one of the real good guys of RPG gaming. I don't know much about Hinterland Games but I will keep my eyes open from here on out :).

Oblivion and Kingdoms of Amalur are the two worst RPGs I've played in the 21st century. I don't even know who Hinterland Games is, but considering this guy's history, the only conclusion I can draw from this is that their next game(s) will blow.
