Memorable game soundtracks!

We had an old thread with good soundtracks that's worth checking out too:

I'm straying from RPGs and going with the latest Wolfenstein games.:)

Wolfenstein: The New Order - I Believe - Melissa Hollick (Official Ending Song)

This song put tears in my eyes given the games ending.:happycry:
:(
What a great song. Now I have to play Wolfenstein, since I never got too far into it.

I played the first two of the newer games and enjoyed them well enough. I still need to play The New Colossus.
I started The New Order 2 times, and lost steam at around the middle, I think. And started the old blood once and lost steam again. I need to try it again.

No matter what you say about the game itself, I just love the soundtrack of Genshin Impact. Its tunes are often so simple yet bautiful, and it seems to me as if themes from other Real World countries were taken into the soundtrack as well.
If it'd be there on an audio CD, I'd instantly buy it.

Wow, lots of dead video links back there. FF7 Remake's soundtrack I posted got wiped by SquareEnix. They had a soundtrack available on Amazon (for a pretty huge sum) but it's no longer available, so all that's left is various interpretations people have made.

My son plays Crypt of the Necrodancer and it seems like he's forever on the first level of the game, because I always hear this song: (it's been in my head for a couple of days :p)

I am, in general, a much bigger fan of western RPGs than Japanese ones, except in this regard. Most of my favorite RPG soundtracks are from JRPGs. A few recent favorites include the FF remakes, Nier:Automata, and Persona 2-5. Historically, the entire FF series (when Uematsu was involved), Xenogears and FF Tactics.

I have seen them selling soundtrack CDs in the merch area of the Games Com several times.
Since i never played any of their games so far, I never bought any of the CDs. They weren't cheap, either, as far as I can remember. Plus, I only remember Japanese ? language labels on their packages, so I never understood for what games they were for.
You could perhaps try out Ebay Germany - since the Games Com takes place in Germany - but sending things overseas might be a bit difficult.

Somebody did finally get them on YouTube, though in a somewhat odd format. There's one video per scene in the game and each scene plays with all the sounds except for the music turned off. Once the scene gets far enough along that the music starts to repeat, the video ends. So, you end up with something that's essentially a musical walk-through of the game. (I would just post a link, but I'm afraid to admit to YouTube that I like Final Fantasy right now. Too many spoilers are going to be showing up!)

I'll add some more....

MechWarrior 5. Like electric guitars? The game plus DLC has a couple of hours' worth.

BB's Theme from Death Stranding
(BIG spoilers, but I think you would have to be playing the game right now to notice)

Have played only a little of any Myst game, or Myst 3, but my dad was a great fan, and this song is what I remember hearing.

Probably some of the best location music ever in a video game

For SOMA, honestly don't remember that much of the soundtrack but the atmosphere and game itself makes it worthy of a mention

Haven't properly played any of the Mass Effect games, except for a good chunk of the first one. But these two songs out of ME3 I somehow stumbled upon and they're amazing, even without any narrative context on where they're used ingame.

And the most recent work of art from CP2077. I absolutely love this piece and can't believe it's not on the official soundtrack.

I must admit that there are so many tunes from the Genshin Impact soundtrack which have become "earworms" for me, (as we say in Germany and mean with that songs which just don't go out of one's mind ...). My guess is that they have good composers there. I'm often impressed how much their composers are able to mimick European music with not just copying, but doing smething creative with that. Or, a least this appears to me so, since I'm not a music expert at all.
I liked a few music examples in the Genshin thread. There are some orchestra videos on you tube, with real orchestras.

I'd also toss both Everquest games into the mix for great audios, especially the opening theme for the first game. I do believe it might have been exactly twenty-five years ago today that it launched, and man, the vibes are still real and memorable.

The other day I caught myself humming Indy Jones And The Fate Of Atlantis tunes. ;)
