Remember that McKinley was a republican so of course they have to take it as a slap in the face from Obama. Lead a rather warmongering imperialistic government at the time (similar to junior bush) that included the Spanish American war on false pretenses (sounds familiar?) and helped subdue the Boxer rebellion.
