Me too. Can't wait!Hi Folks,
…
And I can't wait for the Steam Christmas Sale. I will look out for the following games:
- Witcher 3
Metro Last Light. Extremely impressive in tems of attention to detail, absolutely stunning. Gameplay is ok too, i guess i dont really enjoy shooters as much as i used to. I imagine myself seeing this game 15 years ago, wow, it would've been like going to heaven (well, more like hell really).
Almost at chapter 6 of my BG:EE playthrough. Some very rough thoughts as I gotta leave it aside for a while.
I got mostly positive thoughts apart from a lot of the content being fairly generic and the story being nothing special at this point (important "issues" but it's too early to judge). I was very positively surprised by how easy the game was to get into and how hassle free and entertaining the actual gameplay is. Not sure how much of that is up to the EE, the Infinite Engine just being utilized more properly than it was in PS:T or my coming from the dreadful and much more micro-management focused NWN2 engine.
So far my main area of interest is actually comparing it to later Bioware games or general Black Isle RPGs. It really feels much more similar to the Fallout games in terms of the considerable free-roaming. Also it's been interesting to see how the balance of the hordes of throwaway almost "easter-eggish" NPCs (those who only have a line before disappearing), potential companions (I've lost count) and ammount of dialogue with important main-quest NPCs has changed since then.
About a week or what I guess was ~20hours of gametime. I find the rules to be quite easy especially in comparison to 3.5 but still a bit too combat-centric if compared to its contemporary Fallout games. How long did it took you to get to chapter 6? Also how are you find the old D&D rule set?
