When I did the install for windows eleven, I immediately pulled my ether cord and did it that way, no connection to my email or nothing like that. Seven months on and I've not had any negative issues at all.
It sounds like a pro version of Windows 11 is recommended. I hope I don't have to install 11 for a long time.
I was mislead into an MS account when I completed the post-installation of Windows 10 too, and I made an offline account right after. I had to transfer the little I had already in the other account but it was otherwise fine. The funny thing is you need to launch commands manually because tools like netplwiz are not available from the UI (despite the name, this is the tool you need to manage the accounts).
For me, Windows 10 is a significant step down from Windows 7 wrt privacy and UI design. I expect Win11 to be another one.
For the not pro-users of Windows 11 just enter "fake@fake.com" as e-mail adres and "f" as password and it will tell you something went wrong and it will let you make a local account.
