Our studio
Borealys Games is an independent video game studio established in downtown Montreal since 2014.
With the financial support of the Canada Media Fund and private investors, the studio developed Mages of Mystralia and published it in 2017. We are looking to put that hard earned experience to good use and keep making games that show both innovation and passion.
Our Story
In the early months of 2014, two friends got together to discuss the creation of a new game studio. Louis-Félix Cauchon (previously from Artifice Studio) and
Patric J Mondou (previously from Gameloft) pitched a game project to investors and kicked off the pre-production of Mages of Mystralia in September of the same year.
The team grew steadily to finally peak at 16 as Mages of Mystralia finally shipped on PC, XOne and PS4. The debut title received praise from press and players alike, winning numerous awards and nominations for its design, art and music.
Borealys Games strives to conceive games that have all the ingenuity and passion of indie games, while remaining polished and accessible; a feat made possible by the complementary experiences of its core team.
