Mass Effect 3

Whether you play Mass Effect 3 on PS3, Xbox or PC, this is a game that will leave an everlasting mark on your gaming career.

If you have played the two previous editions, this is also the episode that will have the final say on your whole experience of this very successful Bioware title, hence the huge expectations which have been building up around it.

In an apocalyptic scenario, after a world-coordinated attack which killed 9 million people, synthetic alien forces (Reapers) are about to conquer all that’s left of the galaxy and destroy every organic creature remaining.

The destiny of the world is wholly depending on Commander Shepard, who is also living a private dilemma and will have to decide whether to follow the woman he fell in love with during Mass Effect 2, or the young officer he had previously dated.

There is much that this game has to offer in terms of visual delights, something that will appeal to the demands of those who play Mass Effect 3 on PC and want to push their machines to the limit.

But there is also much quality that lies underneath the surface in terms of storytelling, developments from the previous chapters, and playability.

The variety of options for Mass Effect 3 shapes different gaming experiences for different kinds of players: those more interested in fighting will follow the Action mode, while players who have grown attached to the story and characters of this saga will follow the Story mode.

There also are, in this episode, intricate links to the previous editions, connections that show how finely crafted this game is and make the whole playing experience a very rewarding one.

And, finally, battles here are extremely challenging and graphically spectacular. You’ll literally be sweating to survive, just like the endangered creatures of this game.

This is, overall, a successfully ambitious title, something that also shows from Bioware’s decision to introduce a horde-style multiplayer option.

The multiplayer will allow you to enhance your experience if, for instance, you want to test Mass Effect 3 on Xbox 360 and its Live platform, which will open up the doors of online fun and even more unpredictable fights.
