Toontown Online - HoC Transcript @ Stratics

by Inauro, 23:01

The transcript of Stratics' first Toontown Online House of Commons is now online.

Preston - *Trish* A few weeks ago, there was a massive amount of accounts put on administrative hold for alleged macro usage, and many of us claim to have never used a macro. Some toons called customer service and were told this was due to a bug in the system. Two questions: What caused this to happen, and are the flags that would've been placed upon these accounts now removed?
TT_Greg - Like most MMOs, we take cheats and exploits very seriously.
TT_Greg - The action we took a few weeks back was intentional and not a bug.
TT_Greg - Unfortunately, sometimes there will be false positives when we do a sweeping action like this.
TT_Greg - If you feel you have been wrongly accused, please contact Customer Service and we will make evry attempt to make it up to you.
TT_Greg - But the bottom line is: when the devs are looking into cheaters, we aren't spending time adding features to the game!

Toontown Online: Developer Diary @ MMORPG.com

by Inauro, 02:03
Greg Wiatroski, Lead Developer of Toontown Online, has written a diary of the recent Toonfest event for MMORPG.com
Today (August 26th) wea "!re hosting the first-ever fan-fest for Toontown Online in Burbank, CA at Walt Disney Studios. Since the event sold out in one week, we were expecting a strong turn out of enthusiastic fans a a group that ranges from kids and teens to moms and dads. I arrived on-site around 8:30am and was thrilled with the setup that the events team had put together. The setting, decorations and backdrops really brought the game to life along Mickey Avenue. There were over 40 computers set up for an in-game scavenger hunt and for Goofy Speedway grand prix racing as well as stages for developer Q&A sessions and sneak peek panels.

Throughout the day Ia "!ll be on-stage for four "Sneak Peek" panels where we will give the guests a preview of what is in the cards for Toontown Online. I am also looking forward to watching our guests play the Toontown themed carnival games, checking out the many fan costumes and maybe even trying my hand at some of the activities like a SSquirt the Cog.a ?

by Inauro, 23:03
Head on over to OGRank for a glimpse of the 1.0.22.6 Toontown Online test server patch notes.
In the last few days the ToonTown test server received a number of bugfixings, bringing the game version to 1.0.22.6. Game version in production servers is still 1.0.21.13 but the new patches should hit them soon.

The new improvements are the following:

* You will now see a "Skill +" message briefly where your water button is after watering a plant. The button will then change back to displaying "Water".
* You can no longer use Emotions from SpeedChat while doing Gardening actions.
* You cannot use the Insta-Grow Fertilizer multiple times anymore. It will now be deleted from your Gardening Specials page after use.
