JA:Flashback - Review Roundup

by Couchpotato, 2014-11-09 05:22:41

Here is a new roundup of a few reviews I found for Jagged Alliance: Flashback.

Cheat Masters - 7.5/10

Taking qualms aside, if you enjoyed the gameplay of titles like the Fallout games and Wasteland 2 or maybe XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Xenonauts, then it’s worth getting this game. It can be fiddly for those who are not used to it, but it’s as good as what you can get for several hours of fun turn-based combat.

Hooked Gamers - 6.5/10
Setting out to remake Jagged Alliance 2 is a tall order, and one that comes with high expectations from its fanbase. I feel it is important to put some things into perspective – there was no way that Full Control could ever have reached those expectations.
Softpedia - 6.5/10
Jagged Alliance: Flashback, in its current state, can appeal to hardcore fans of the classic who might be interested to see how it might be re-created using more modern tech, but I believe that most gamers are better served by getting a cheap version of Jagged Alliance 2 and by hunting down the community-made patches for it.
