Kickstarter - New Hack ‘n Slash Games

Here are two new projects that on kickstarter that deserve some attention. The first game is from developer Elven Games asking for $30,000 for Elventales: A Path Foreseen.

Elventales: A Path Foreseen is a role-playing game merged with dynamic battles covered in a deep story and complicated conflict. The story revolves around factions inside a kingdom, about an endless battle between different ideologies and interests where there is no absolute truth, it's all about "a man should do what he should do".

You'll play as August, a brave young elf that always dreamed of being in an army. On his journey, August will reveal many surprising truth and unexpected realities that will lead him to the question "Am I doing the right thing?".

The second project is from developer Dead Mage called Children of Morta. They are asking for $65,000 to get funded, and here is the usual video & game description.

Children of Morta is a story-driven hack ‘n slash game incorporating the elements of the roguelike genre, where you will go on an adventure with the guardian family of Bergsons.

The family have lived on the outskirts of Mount Morta, guarding it for many generations. As a tragic event in Morta corrupts the roots of life deep in the mountain, all the creatures turn into furious, mindless monsters. Now the land’s only hope is for the Bergsons to find the seeds of life and use them to cleanse the corruption.

The game has a unique art style blending the old-school 2D pixel art aesthetics with a few modern lighting and rendering techniques, bringing to life a world of fantasy and mystery.
