Lord of the Rings Online: First Impressions @ GameDaily

GameDaily shares some first impressions of Turbine's forthcoming Lord of the Rings Online.

Turbine is hard at work on Lord of the Rings Online, and they're proud to show it off. From the very first glance it's obvious that the team has made huge strides, bringing the visuals far up from last year's showing and improving the overall experience through control and gameplay by magnitudes.

Present are all the aspects of a great Tolkien experience: fantastic story, intriguing plots, interesting characters, and amazing locations. The game has its own plot, which in a weird sort of way lays over the story of Lord of the Rings very nicely. In Lord of the Rings Online, the old kingdom of Angmar is rising up again at the same time that the fellowship is questing for Mordor. This puts the players on a whole new front of battle, facing the Angmarians to protect the ring bearer and his party as they quest towards the goal of destroying the one ring.
