Jonric: Did you watch Lord of the Rings Online during its development? Have you played it, and in either case, do you have any impressions or related thoughts you're willing to share with our readers?

Janus Anderson: We kept an e-mail thread with the ex-Sierra folks, and over the years, a few tidbits would pop up on it about the progress of LOTRO. The MEO 'catastrophe' was only the first in a series of disasters (including years of litigation, if I remember correctly) that plagued the project from the start. I actually began to think the license was cursed like the one ring, and that the game would never ship.
