Acclaim

Acclaim Entertainment was an American video game developer and publisher founded in 1987. They concentreated in console games, but also released a few for the personal computer and arcade games.

In 2005 after Accalaim was liquidated due to several lawsuits against it the name and logo was purchased by former Activision CEO Howard Marks. In 2006 Marks and Neil Malhotra formed a new company called Acclaim Games. The new companies focus was towards MMO games.

In may, 2010 Playdom acquired the company and three months later Acclaim Games was closed.
