Ghostlight LTD - Petition To Translate All Elminage Games

by Anonymous, 14:53

Hello everyone!

A few days ago I created an online petition aimed at Ghostlight Games. I wanted to see how much interest there was in the Elminage series of games, and I urged Ghostlight to translate all of the Elminage games, old and new.

Why does it matter? Well, I happen to think that Elminage is sort of a modern day Wizardry game. It is closely modeled after the first few Wizardry games, but unfortunately, most of the series remains in Japanese. Ghostlight has translated Elminage Gothic and released it on PC, so there is hope that they can translate the other games in the series going forward.

Please sign this petition and show Ghostlight that you care about these games. If enough people sign, I'm sure Ghostlight would consider translating the games and releasing them on PC for all of us dungeon-crawler RPG fans to enjoy.

https://www.change.org/p/ghostlight-games-translate-all-elminage-games

The Elminage series is a popular dungeon-crawl RPG series in Japan. The games are modeled after the old-school Wizardry games, and Elminage in many ways can be considered the modern generation's Wizardry series.

If the Elminage games aren't translated to English, English-speaking gamers would take a devastating hit. English-speaking gamers need to experience this generation's Wizardry games, aka the Elminage games.

Imagine if the original Wizardry games were never made in English. What a travesty that would be for RPG gamers worldwide. That is the type of travesty that could happen if these excellent dungeon-crawl RPGs are not translated to English.

All Elminage games should be translated and brought to a Western audience, and all Elminage games going forward should be translated as well.

Please make this important event happen. Give us all the Elminage games in the series!

Agarest: Generations of War 2 - Release Date

by Couchpotato, 04:51

Ghostlight announces that Agarest: Generations of War 2 will be released on February 19, 2015. The game will cost $19.99, and you get free DLC if you pre-order.

Great news! With the beta progressing smoothly we’re thrilled to announce that Agarest: Generations of War 2 will be released on 19th February 2015 priced at $19.99.

As an extra incentive for early birds, anyone who pre-orders the game before 19th February will get two AWESOME benefits: a 20% pre-order discount, and DLC bundle 6*absolutely free, allowing you to use Leonhardt, Valeria and Myu from the previous games and unlocking Extra Costumes for many of the cast, saving you a further $7.99!

While the game isn’t ready for pre-order yet, you can check out the Agarest 2 Steam page here

After launch we’ll be releasing the remaining Agarest 2 DLC bundles once a week.  As with the previous titles in the series, you can expect the bundled DLC to be considerably cheaper than it was when sold as individual items on PSN.

Argarest 2 - Steam Beta Applications

by Couchpotato, 03:36

Publisher Ghostlight has releasd information on a new blog post they are now accepting Beta applications on Seam for the next Argarest game. Here are the details.

With the port of Agarest 2 coming along very nicely now, you’ll be pleased to hear that we’re just about ready to open applications for the Agarest 2 Steam beta!  We’ve actually had a small, handpicked team of beta testers looking at the game for the last couple of days in preparation for this, so we’ve already made a start on it.

To join them in the Agarest 2 closed beta all you need to do is to send an email to: beta@ghostlight.uk.com with your name, date of birth and the technical specifications of your PC.

Applications will close on the 18th January, so please make sure to get them in before then.  As with previous closed betas, we will not be picking people on a random or first-come-first-served basis, so please do bear that in mind.  What a ‘yes’ decision actually comes down to depends on a number of factors, including how we feel the range of PC specs we’ve assembled for the beta is.

In other news I know many of you have been asking us whether the PC version will be based on the EU or North American version of Agarest 2. I can now report that the PC version of Agarest 2 will be based on the European version of this title.  This does mean that the game will not include a small number of CG images and minigames that feature the first generation version of Fiona.  I realise that many of you will be disappointed by this news but it is the version of the game that is compliant with local laws in many of the countries we deal with.  Put simply, while this was not a decision that we’ve taken lightly, the alternative to Ghostlight releasing the EU version of this title was to not release the game on Steam at all.
