Perfect World Entertainment

Perfect World is a China-based online game company specializing in MMORPGs. The company aims to develop and market games with Chinese characteristics. The company's initial public offering on the Nasdaq was completed in July, 2007. Perfect World Entertainment Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Perfect World Co. Ltd., was established in the U.S. in April 2008 to localize and publish Beijing Perfect World games in North America. It has localized Perfect World 2 by the name Perfect World International and Pocketpet Journey West (Kodai Shiyou) by the name Ether Saga Online. And soon to release Zhu Xian in North America as Jade Dynasty.

In 2009, Perfect World Co. Ltd. entered into an exclusive agreement to publish Torchlight, an action-MMORPG in production by U.S. game developer Runic Games, worldwide.

Beijing Perfect World Co. was founded in 2004 by Chi Yufeng, the president of Human Software Corporation.
