There is a burning man hovering in the air over a grille in the Smoldering Corpse Bar. His skin bubbles and chars and flames pour from his tormented eyes. Yet his expression is far away, almost as if he were reveling in the flames.

If you are a mage then you can get Ignus to teach you. This will however cost you some of your hitpoints. He can teach you a maximum of four spells.

  • 1st teaching: 6000XP and gets you Ignus' Charm, which teaches you the "Seeking Flames" spell. It will cost you -1 hit points.

  • 2nd teaching: 12000XP and gets you Ignus' Hand, which teaches you the "Infernal Orb" spell. It will cost you -3 hit points.

  • 3th teaching: 12000XP and gets you Ignus' Eye, which teaches you the "Ignus' Terror" spell. It will cost you -2 hit points. You can do this spell only when you give him your eyeball (which can be obtained from the barman in the Smoldering Corpse Bar).

  • 4th teaching: 24000XP and gets you Ignus' Innards, which teaches you the "Infernal Shield" spell. You can do this spell only when you give him your intestines (which can be obtained from Martha in the Buried Village).
